An Emirates Airbus A380 has been filmed sliding from side to side during a precarious landing in Germany.

Video showed the plane being buffeted by harsh winds while making its descent into Dusseldorf airport on Thursday (local time).

As the pilot tries to land the front wheel on the tarmac, the A380 rapidly zig-zags.

The aircraft appears to be making a smooth landing as it approaches the runway.

No doubt to the relief of passengers on board, the plane stabilises before coming to a stop seconds later.

The witness who filmed the video has since shared it to YouTube, garnering more than three million views in two days.

I have never seen such a tremendous reaction of an airplane after a touchdown. You can see that the pilots tried to align with the runway by using the tail rudder and luckily it worked out,” the witness captioned the video.

Although the nail-biting landing looked scary, aviation experts said there was no danger to passengers.
