Wolves talks

10.30am: Wolves are in talks to sign Benfica midfielder Joao Carvalho, according to O Jogo.

The 20-year-old could move to Molineux for a £13.2m (€15m) fee.

The switch could take place in January or at the end of the season.

Black Cats eye Madine

9.45am: Sunderland fancy a move for Bolton striker Gary Madine.

A new target man could be a priority for Black Cats boss Chris Coleman if Bournemouth recall Lewis Grabban from his loan spell at the Stadium of Light.

Madine, 27, has scored six goals in 20 league appearances for Bolton this term.

McBurnie to Villa?

9.00am: Aston Villa are set to land Swansea starlet Oli McBurnie next month.

According to the Daily Star, the 21-year-old striker is ‘likely to join’ when the transfer window reopens.

Villa boss Steve Bruce needs attacking reinforcements after losing Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan to injury. 

Adkins confirmed

7.45am: Hull City have confirmed the appointment of Nigel Adkins as their new head coach.

The 52-year-old has signed an 18-month deal at the KCOM Stadium. 

He will take charge of Saturday’s game against Brentford.

Wolves want Okaka

7.30am: Wolves are interested in Watford striker Stefano Okaka, according to the Daily Mirror. 

Okaka wants out of Vicarage Road after falling down the pecking order under Marco Silva.

He is set to leave the Premier League club when the transfer window reopens next month.

Leeds exits?

7.00am: Leeds United expect to field enquiries from a number of clubs for fringe duo Mateusz Klich and Pawel Cibicki.

Midfielder Klich and striker Cibicki have struggled for minutes at Elland Road and clubs across Europe are on alert, according to Leeds Live.

Leeds are not planning to sell either summer signing but loan moves could be sanctioned.

Aarons to Villa?

6.30am: Aston Villa want to sign Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons, according to the Mirror. 

The 22-year-old could be allowed to leave St James’ Park after managing just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this term.

Villa are hoping the Magpies will sanction a cut-price deal.

Hull boss development

6.00am: Hull City are on the brink of appointing Nigel Adkins as their new manager.

The former Southampton boss held further talks with vice-chairman Ehab Allam last night, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

Adkins’ appointment could be announced this morning.
