Eden Hazard admits he would like to follow in the footsteps of Didier Drogba by leaving Chelsea after winning the Champions League.

The Ivorian striker called time on his eight-year stint at Stamford Bridge after he helped guide Chelsea to European glory in 2012.

Hazard, who has admitted he would like to play under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, wants to bow out at Chelsea in similar circumstances to Drogba but insists he is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Explaining his decision to remain at Chelsea, Hazard told Onze Mondial: ‘I have always been like that. From the moment things are going well. When you change, it’s because it’s not going well.

‘If in your job it’s great and you’re the boss, do you move? Why would you move? You’re not going to change [if it’s going well], right?

‘Besides, you know everyone [at the club], you’re good, all of that. That’s what happened to me in Lille. I knew everyone, it was amazing.

‘And when I felt that I had to change, I left. And here at Chelsea, it’s the same thing.

‘This is my sixth year. I have my family with me here. My wife and children feel great. I am not far from Belgium so my family can come quite often. I am at a big club.

‘Every year or so I win a trophy. On the pitch, it’s going really well.

‘Not leaving Chelsea without winning the Champions League? It’s not easy to win the Champions League. Maybe I will never win it!

‘Of course, I would like to do what Didier Drogba did as he left after winning the Champions League. It would be nice to do that. It would be a beautiful ending for me.

‘Like my ending in Lille where I left by scoring hat-trick, you know. It’s very beautiful.

‘But I do not really think about that. I just want to give the maximum.

‘If I do not win the Champions League, it will be like that, it will be my story. In any case, I will do everything to win it.’
