The previous two Premier League champions face off on Saturday as Chelsea host Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte’s 2016-17 title winners host 2015-16 champions Leicester, though neither side is likely to lift the trophy this season with Manchester City running away at the top of the table.

But there is still plenty to play for this term, with Chelsea seeking to leapfrog Manchester United into second place and Claude Puel’s Foxes aiming to put distance between themselves and the bottom half of the table.

YELLOW CARD

18 MINS: We have our first caution of the game for Matty James after he fouls Kante. Fabregas takes Chelsea’s resulting free kick but it’s a comfortable save for Schmeichel.

16 MINS: Something Arsene Wenger was complaining about as he sat behind me on Wednesday was the ease at which Morata goes down. And I reckon he’d have something to say just now as the Chelsea striker falls to the pitch all too easily just outside the box and appeals for a free kick which, unsurprisingly, he doesn’t get.

11 MINS: It’s all Leicester here at the moment as the Foxes win a corner kick. Mahrez sends the ball int the box but Ndidi sees his resulting header kept out by Courtois!

Chelsea then go down the other end and threaten, with Fabregas seeing his effort from a tight angle saved by Schmeichel!

Drama.

9 MINS: And, just as I was writing that last post, Vardy threatens again! The striker runs onto a pass but sends a low shot wide of the far post with Courtois beaten! Leicester have started off very strongly here.

8 MINS: OVER THE BAR! Okazaki  drives a cross from Chilwell just over Courtois and the Chelsea goal. Moments later, Vardy – back in the squad following injury – latches onto a long ball but can only drive it wide with the side of his foot.

This is the third time in recent weeks that Cahill has been played in the unusual position in the middle of that three-man defence. The first came against Brighton on Boxing Day and the second was against Stoke. Very interesting, though, that Luiz – who occupies that spot – isn’t being given the chance to play today even though Christensen is being rested.

2 MINS: Chelsea are the first to win a corner kick in this game, and it’s taken by Fabregas who sends the ball to Moses just outside the box. The wing-back strikes the ball hard and low but it’s blocked by the Leicester defence.

And we have kick-off between Chelsea and Leicester!

Here come the teams!

Remember we have a 3pm kick-off here today so not long to go before the match starts! I’ll be bringing you all the action and, later, reaction from this game so don’t go anywhere!

Antonio Conte was asked about Leicester striker Jamie Vardy in his pre-match press conference yesterday, but insisted he has never wanted to sign the forward.
