Every Sunday, Cobb Cooks spotlights a local recipe submitted by our readers for all of Cobb to share. 

Otter’s Chicken is a popular spot for casual fried chicken in west Cobb. Recently, however, the local restaurant has expanded to open a new space in Kennesaw at 1985 Cobb Parkway NW, in the new Whole Foods development.

To celebrate, owner Will Peterson has shared the formerly-secret recipe for the restaurant’s menu-favorite buffalo chicken dip, perfect for gameday celebrations. Enjoy!

Otter’s Chicken’s Buffalo Chicken Dip

Makes: 8-12 servings

Prep/Total Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

♦ 2 lbs chicken tenders, cooked, chopped and shredded

♦ 3 to 8oz blocks cream cheese

♦ 1 and ¼ cups ranch dressing

♦ 2 cups Franks Regular Buffalo sauce

♦ 2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese

DIRECTIONS:

Mix all ingredients in crock pot, and heat on high until cheese is melted. Reduce temperature to low, stirring intermittently between servings. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips. Or, come to Otter’s Chicken where we will make it for you!
