Five years ago Truro City went into administration. I was a young lad — I’m still only 24 — and it’s what kick-started my football career; I got game time because the club couldn’t bring in new players. We’ve had a lot of highs and lows, but that was the lowest point. It went down to the wire. Players were texting each other, saying: “We’re finished. It’s over.” We went to the pub after training one night, just to say our goodbyes.
