An FBI agent was dragged by a pickup truck after shooting the driver early Friday in Sandy Springs, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Both were taken to local hospitals, the news station reported.
The agent’s injuries were not life-threatening, FBI spokesman Kevin Rowson said in an emailed statement. The status of the driver was unknown.
“At this point, I can tell you the incident involved one of our agents and a suspect we were trying to arrest,” Rowson said. “The suspect was shot and transported to the hospital.”
According to Channel 2, the agent was dragged about a quarter-mile after shooting the suspect. Sandy Springs police arrested the suspect inside the Wyndham Atlanta Galleria in the 6300 block of Powers Ferry Road
