HOUSTON – The city of Houston is working on a deal to help develop a new rugby stadium.
The facility will be built by a private company inside the Houston Sports Park, which is located between
Highway 2-88 and Kirby Drive.
Mayor Sylvester Turner says the multi-purpose facility will have several fields, which could be used for rugby, football and other sports.
The mayor says the money to create the facility’s parking lot will come from a bond passed in 2012.
