Shilpa Sharma, Co-Founder of Jaypore tell us how she de-stresses herself…

Balancing work-life:
I never get any free time owing to running multiple companies. When I can, I try painting with water colours to find peace within. I believe in making time to do things to create a balance. I like to paint, cook, travel, do yoga to find balance. I also switch off my smartphone for some time during the day – every day.

Happiness & energy high:
My highs come from the ability to build new ventures. Creating something from scratch energises me and gives me a lot of joy.

Dare Quotient:
I have a large appetite for risks. I want to push the envelope. I’m also very optimistic. If you believe you can do it, you can.

Winning trick up my sleeve:
There will be fear. Learn to overcome them.

One thing she always says no to:
I never compromise on integrity. I have zero tolerance for nonsense.

Life lessons learnt:
You’ve got to let it go. Shrug your negative experiences off your shoulders, every day. There’s nothing that beats hard work.

What lights you up:
Be aware of what’s happening around you, and within you. I meditate and do yoga to be in touch with my inner being.

Importance of success & failure:
Success can give you a big high. But don’t become complacent. Failure keeps you on your toes. Don’t be afraid to fail.

Tackling life challenges:
Take life head on. Tackle your challenges with patience.
