Asante Kotoko midfielder, Owusu Jackson is adamant of his side clinching this year’s MTN FA Cup title to pacify their fans for failing to win the league title.
The Porcupine Warriors have endured a torrid season in the Ghana Premier League where they occupy the 4th position on the league log with 43 points with just a game to end the season.
Kotoko could finish the season on a high should they overcome arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the MTN Cup grand final, which will be staged at Tamale Sports Stadium on October 29.
According to Owusu, they will put in their all to finish the season with a silverware by beating Hearts of Oak.
“We are sorry we didn’t win the league, We wanted to win the league and the FA Cup, But we couldn’t reach our target, we will try and win the FA Cup for the supporters,’ Owusu told footballmadeinghana.com.
The combative midfielder further stressed that he has been training well after his injury and that has made him pick up fast.
“I train a lot after coming back from Injury. I decided to work hard to come back in the team. Hard Work is my secret, I always try to do my best in every game.” he added.
Jackson Owusu was awarded the NASCO Man of the match in Kotoko’s 1-0 triumph over Chelsea.
