Bakambu, who has attracted interest from Spurs, Newcastle, West Brom and West Ham, has been offered a bumper contract in the Chinese capital that English clubs couldn’t compete with.
The 26-year-old DR Congo striker has scored 48 goals in 105 games for Villarreal since arriving in Spain from Bursaspor in 2015.
