Olamide is new PlayTV ambassador

In its bid to further promote local content, cable TV network, Play TV, has named singer Olamide Adedeji also known as Olamide as its latest ambassador. This is coming after the entertainment outfit named celebrity host of relationship talk show, Labi Olayori and Nollywood actress Adediwura Gold as brand ambassadors last December.

General Manager, PlayTV, Funmi Adenaike said the attraction to Olamide as its latest ambassador was based on the singer’s appreciation of his local environment which he promotes through his music. Adenaike said Olamide will join two other ambassadors of the cable television network to further expand the frontiers of its network’s unwavering commitment to the creative industry and talent development in the country.

“The Play TV family is happy to welcome Olamide,” she said, adding that “The TV already has Labi and Adediwura Gold as existing ambassadors making Olamide the third brand ambassador.”

Olamide expressed his joy at being the new face of the cable network, assuring he will channel efforts to justify the trust reposed in his brand to be a worthy ambassador of local content. He said his ambassadorship will serve as leverage for more talented youths hunting for platforms to express themselves without encumbrances.

He also took to his Instagram account to share the good news.

‘New deal @play_nigeria for the people!!! Update!!! @ikemefuna1,’ Olamide who is dropping a single with Ric Hassani on February 10.

Play TV targets the 0-70 age group through promotion of the best local contents in music, exclusive movies, entertainment, cartoons, comedy, lifestyle, fashion and lots more.
