An Adelaide truck driver will face court after his rig was found to be using vice grips for rear brakes.
The 37-year-old was pulled over on Monday morning while travelling at 90km/h on the South Eastern Freeway.
Police say the front brakes on his truck were not working and the rear brakes were clamped with vice grips.
The man has been reported for acts to endanger life and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
It will also be alleged he tested positive for methamphetamine while his truck was defected and seized for mechanical examination.
