The Department of Food Technology at SAFI Institute of Advanced Study, Vazhayur, conducted a national seminar on ‘recent trends in food technology: processing, preservation and byproduct utilization’ on Friday and Saturday.
Pichan Prabhasankar, principal scientist at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore, inaugurated the seminar.
SAFI Institute of Advanced Study principal P.V. Basheer Ahamed presided over the function. Suchitha Sreekanth, head of food technology department, and E. Haskar from M.E.S. Mampad College, Mampad, spoke.
