Tips for a safe sexting experience

Texting

Texting your bae is fun, flirting with him is even better. But a combination of both is definitely the winner. Sexting is a great way to add some spice to your relationship. But proceed with caution. Keep these things in mind before you press send.

No face
No matter how much you know and trust your guy, it’s always safer to crop your face out of an image. Think about it. If you were to accidentally forward the picture to someone else, or if your guy’s phone s hacked, it’s easier to pass the image off as a random image from the internet than it being solid proof that it belongs to you.

Know him well
It’s a good idea to get to know the guy first before you send some suggestive messages or images. Don’t jump to this step to kick start things because it might work against your favour. If you are the one to initiate it, make sure you get some clear signals from his side of his interest and only then proceed.

Don’t save evidence
Yes, you loved everything he sent or said and would like to keep it for future need. But, safety first, always. Deleted all evidence as soon as you’re done. It would save you from the unfortunate moment of your mom or colleague accidentally checking your phone. If you absolutely want to save something, get one of those apps that acts like a locker, in order to save your pictures.

Less is more
People aren’t lying when they say sexting is an art. Remember, sexting is supposed to lead to something more so don’t give too much away too soon. Keep things subtle and playful instead of too explicit. It might even be a bit of a turn-off to some.

Don’t drunk sext
This one is a big no. You don’t want to end up sending something you regret right? And no matter how much the alcohol you have tries to convince you that it’s okay to send something, trust your sober senses more. Better still, hand your phone over to a friend so you don’t send something you might not like later.

Turn off pop-up notifications
This one is self-explanatory. You don’t want somebody else getting a glimpse of what your bae has sent you so it’s best to turn off pop-up notifications.
