WWE have announced that superstar Emma has been released by the company as the announced .
They released a statement on Sunday afternoon to reveal the surprising news.
It read: “WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Emma.
“WWE wishes Emma the best in all of her future endeavours.”
The news will come as a massive shock to wrestling fans after the 28-year-old’s recent push on Monday Night Raw.
Since stepping-up to the main roster for the second time last year she has failed to get much of the spotlight.
But less than a week ago she participated in her first-ever singles match on a pay-per-view as she took on the debuting Asuka at Tables, Ladders and Chairs.
Emma, real name Tenille Dashwood, also faced the same opponent again and suffered another defeat on Raw this week in what was her last match with the promotion.

Dashwood was first paired with Santino Marella upon her first stint working with the company’s senior stars after a successful run on NXT.
However, she would later be sent back to the NXT development roster and had her character changed a year later.
She debuted an evil version of her personality and returned back to the flagship show in 2016.
The reason behind her release still remains unclear.
WWE announced a further two departures later in the afternoon.
Fellow diva Summer Rae has also left the promotion after six years.
And Darren Young, who became the first-ever WWE wrestler to come out while working for Vince McMahon, is also looking for a new job.
Young first debuted with WWE in 2010 after working for the old development territory Florida Championship Wrestling.
