Barcelona have told Aleix Vidal, Arda Turan and Thomas Vermaelen they can all leave in January as La Liga’s giants prepare for a winter clearout.
According to Sport, the Catalan side have recieved a bid from China for Turan but are still waiting for offers for his two team-mates.
Vidal signed from Sevilla in 2015 for €18million and has made just 33 appearances in all competitions. It is reported the club want €10m back for the 28-year-old.
Turan also joined the Catalan side in 2015, switching from Atletico Madrid for a fee of €34m + €7m in add ons.
The Turkish international enjoyed a fruitful spell in the team last season, scoring 13 goals in 30 appearances. But the 30-year-old has failed to become a part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans, and hasn’t registered a single appearance so far this season. A loan is an option for Barcelona providing his new club pay the wages in full.
Vermaelen is the longest standing Barca player out of the three, joining in 2014 from Arsenal. Injuries have plagued the Belgium defender’s career at Nou Camp and the 31-year-old has made just 22 appearances for the Blaugrana .
Should the three players leave in January it would clear a hefty amount from Barca’s total wage bill. Valverde’s men failed with three bids for Philippe Coutinho in the summer and reports have suggested they could return for the Liverpool star in January.
