David Warner is all set to turn up for Randwick Petersham cricket club in the Sydney Premier Cricket Season as he tries to get his career back on track. This after fellow opener – Cameron Bancroft – was also given a green signal to play in the Western Australia Premier Cricket.

Mike Whitney, former Aussie pacer and president of Randwick Petersham Cricket club, confirmed the news of Warner’s availability for the club’s first three or four games. He said, “We’re delighted to have him. He’s one of the best players Australia has had since World War Two. He’s been speaking to one of our club officials and he has committed to the first three or four rounds of the season. “

The destructive opener, who was handed out the sanction in late March, will finally to get some time on the field. In recent years, turning out for the club was never a possibility for Warner because of various international and league commitments.

Warner’s presence is something that the club is looking forward to said the club president. “Everyone is excited to have him. He will be great in the changing rooms with younger players,” said Whitney.

As Warner’s ban extends to state matches as well, this is the only form of cricket that will help him regain confidence and match practice before his impending return to top-level cricket in March 2019.
