The eSports tournament will select LaLiga’s Spanish representatives for the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series play-offs in June, which leads to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018. The competition will consist of a qualification stage, to be played entirely online on the LVP gaming platform ArenaGG, and an in-person final stage. It will also include Xbox and PlayStation categories.
The second part of the tournament, which is scheduled to begin on 16 April, will be played at the LVP venue in Barcelona.
According to Mediapro, the LVP and LaLiga, more projects are being explored with the aim to grow the LaLiga brand across the increasingly important eSports scene.
