MADISON (WKOW) — More than 70 golfers took to the fairways Saturday in Madison for the 90th Men’s City Public Links Tournament.
The first wave of golfers teed off at 9 a.m. from Yahara Hills Golf Course.
The tournament is an individual competition, with golfers from high school to 80-plus years old.
Organizers say it’s an honor to be celebrating 90 years of the tournament and they hope to put it on for many more.
“This is a tradition within the city of Madison. We’re happy to continue this, and want to be able to continue this for many, many years because a lot of people enjoy this tournament,” said Ryan Brinza, tournament director.
The tournament will continue Sunday at Odana Hills.
A raffle is held each day to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
The Women’s Public Links Tournament will tee off in two weeks.
