St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor made the shock call to overlook young gun Zac Lomax in the opening two rounds, but calls for the centre to return are growing stronger after their latest loss.

But after the break they fell apart with the Rabbitohs carving up the Dragons’ right edge of Euan Aitken and Mikaele Ravalawa to run away with the game.
The duo missed a combined five tackles on that edge, getting found out of position in a number of occasions as the Rabbitohs spread the ball to the flanks.
Lomax is primarily a centre, but was trialled on the wing in both the club’s trials against Newcastle and the Rabbitohs in the Charity Shield.

The 19-year-old appeared to struggle on the wing in the trials, which lead to Ravalawa getting the nod for Round 1.
Despite that, many are calling for the youngster to be recalled to NRL.
