The transfer saga of the summer has taken its biggest twist with just 12 days left of the Scottish window.
We’d suspected it for a while but now Record Sport has exclusively revealed Ryan Kent is desperate to return to Rangers on loan – and could down tools at Liverpool in a bid to force through a move.
This morning’s breaking story has got everyone talking and Steven Gerrard could be about to make his most significant signing of the summer after, so far, having made 10 acquisitions. It’s not all about Kent though and in another exclusive this morning we have told how Kilmarnock and Motherwell are battling to sign Celtic outcast Jack Hendry on loan.
Sticking with the champions and Neil Lennon wants another wideman on the left flank but his priorities lie in the full-back areas. Brentford star Rico Henry, Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor and Birger Meling of Rosenborg are left-back options. Robert Gumny of Lech Poznan and Olympiacos’ Omar Elabdellaoui are targets at right-back.
Back at Rangers and Gerrard is looking to lighten his squad by offloading Graham Dorrans, Eros Grezda while he will be hoping there’s no late bids for Alfredo Morelos or James Tavernier.
Aberdeen striker Sam Cosgrove has been linked with a jaw-dropping move to Lazio although the Dons know nothing of it and across the continent Barcelona’s pursuit of Neymar remains the biggest story on the European circuit.
