University of Memphis Athletics – Women’s Golf Teeing Off at Moon Golf Invitational Monday

MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women’s golf team will tee off at 8:30 a.m., Monday, at the Moon Golf Invitational at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida. The Lady Tigers are one of 13 teams playing in the two-day event, which is being hosted by number 24 ranked Louisville.
In all, seven of the 13 teams are ranked in the top 60 in the most recent college polls led by number nine-ranked Furman. Louisville (24), Kennesaw State (35), Memphis (51), Virginia Tech (54) and Michigan (60) are all in this week’s field. On Monday, Memphis will be paired with players from No. 63 ranked Old Dominion and No. 77 ranked Chattanooga. Augusta, Southern Miss, Rutgers and USF round out the field.
Duran Golf Club is set up as a 6,309-yard, par 72 course for this event, which will feature two rounds of play on Monday and a final round on Tuesday. Memphis will start the shot gun start on holes nine, ten and 11.
Memphis will have the same five golfers as their last event, led by Madison Thomas and Sydney Colwill. Michaela Fletcher, Emily Goldenstein and Abby Herrmann will round out the Lady Tigers’ entry.
