Forget about Harry Kane, Jordan Pickford and the World Cup.

OK, we didn’t quite mean that. But you SHOULD start thinking about club football.

Why? Well, because Fantasy Premier League (FPL), the official fantasy football partner of the Premier League, has already launched.

The early launch will provide players with ample time to finalise their teams.

After all, the league’s transfer window shuts on 9 August.

And the Premier League season kicks off on 11 August.

So time is very much of the essence – but, fear not, because you can sign up right now.

What are the major price changes from last year?

After an incredible season for Liverpool last year, Mohamed Salah has seen his worth skyrocket ahead of the new season.

Players looking to get him on their team will do so at huge cost of £13 million for the midfielder. Playing in that advanced position, he seems guaranteed to get you goals, but is he worth 13% of your budget?

Harry Kane will have many players desperate to acquire his services, but after a great season and an incredible World Cup, his price is £12.5 million to start the campaign.

Other noticeable prices include, Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling (£11million) and Kevin De Bruyne (£10million). Chelsea can boast having the two most expensive defenders Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso at £6.5million. While David De Gea retains his place as the most costly goalkeeper at £6million.

Any bargains this year?

Under new management, many believe Arsenal will be back to competing for the title this season. With that in mind, midfielder Mesut Ozil could be a bargain at £8.5million.

He has seen his FPL price plummet in recent seasons but will surely out to prove himself to Unai Emery.

Many will look to Ryan Sessegnon for their token Fulham player, but at £6.5million he is rather expensive. Midfielder Tom Cairney at £5 million could be bargain of the season.

He is a guaranteed started for the newly promoted club and has a lot of price increase potential.

Is Fantasy Draft back this year?

Yes, the different version of the game was introduced last year and FPL are hoping even more players will get involved this time round.

The FPL Draft is very similar to the NFL’s fantasy league system in that only one manager can own a player. So each player picks a player they want, that nobody else can have.

This one is for FPL geeks for sure.

What formation should I play?

Where possible play 3-4-3, it has proven that manager’s who pick this formation have more scoring potential.

Why should I sign up early?

Signing up early gives you an edge over the rest of the players in your mini-league.

We all know that if FPL managers finish on the same amount of points, the league title is awarded to the boss who completed the least amount of transfers.

Incredibly, if the players are still tied after that, the winner is determined by the manager who registered their team first!

When can I put together my team?

Now!

The game is available, all you need to do is login with your details from last year or sign up at https://fantasy.premierleague.com/ .

The deadline for the first game week is 7pm on Friday 10th August.
